Transaction statuses in Clara

Every purchase made with your Clara card goes through different stages depending on the merchant’s authorization process. Understanding these statuses helps you track which payments are confirmed, pending, or still being processed. 💡

Status definitions

1. Notification

The merchant has notified us that a purchase was initiated.
This does not mean the transaction has been charged.
 

2. Pending

The merchant has not yet completed the authorization process.

Pending transactions will not appear on your statement and will not be charged until they are Authorized for more than 48 hours.

Notes:

  • Some merchants take longer to confirm transactions.

  • You will not be charged unless it becomes Authorized and appears on your statement.

 

3. Authorized

The transaction has been approved and will appear on your upcoming statement.

Sometimes, an Authorized transaction may briefly change status again due to merchant fraud-prevention policies.
If this happens:

  • Wait 15–20 minutes

  • Try the purchase again
