Can I make international purchases with my Clara card? Yes, you can use all your Clara cards (physical or virtual) to make purchases anywhere in the world.

Our cards are backed by Mastercard, giving you the assurance that you can use them at any physical or online merchant outside of Mexico that accepts this network. 🌎

How does international billing work?

Using your Clara card for international purchases is very simple.

• You just make the purchase: Pay as you normally would, whether on a foreign website or at a physical store.

• We handle the rest: The charge is initially generated in the corresponding foreign currency (USD, EUR, etc.), and Clara later converts it to Mexican Pesos (MXN).

Fees and Exchange Rate

We want to be transparent about operating costs so you always have control over your finances.

When making a purchase in a currency other than the Mexican Peso, two factors will be applied to the final charge.

1. International Transaction Fee: A fixed commission of 3% (three percent) is applied to the total purchase amount.

2. Exchange Rate: We use the exchange rate provided by Mastercard at the time the charge is applied, plus Clara's operating costs incurred for managing the currency exchange.
