At Clara, we are constantly working to ensure your financial experience is smooth and frictionless. That is why we have incorporated a new technology into our cards, both virtual and physical, that substantially improves their acceptance both nationally and internationally.
This change applies to all cards created starting April 10th.
The easiest way to identify the new technology is by the starting number: Previously, Clara cards began with the number 2. New cards will now begin with the number 5.
Frequently Asked Questions about the Transition
Will my current cards (created before April 10th) continue to work?
Yes, your current physical and virtual cards will continue to function indefinitely. However, to ensure you and your team take advantage of the best market acceptance, we recommend using only the new technology and replacing your team's cards.
If I have subscriptions registered with my old card, do I need to update the details?
It is not necessary. Your old card will remain active until you decide to disable it. You only need to update your subscription details if you choose to disable the old card.
How do I get the new cards for my team?
All cards you create from now on will automatically feature this new technology:
Virtual Cards: Create them instantly from your platform.
Physical Cards: Create them in the platform. Standard delivery is 5 to 7 business days.
Clara Black Cards: If we offered you a Black card replacement, shipping will begin once you confirm your address.
You can now create more than one physical card per employee. We suggest disabling the employee's previous card to avoid any confusion.
We Guarantee Acceptance
Our confidence in this new technology is absolute. We want to guarantee that your transactions will be accepted at the largest number of merchants.
If, in the remote event that your new 5X technology card is rejected, you can send us proof of the rejection to contacto@clara.com. We will compensate you with an Amazon gift card (terms and conditions apply).
