We now inform cardholders who have a Clara Black card that they also have access to this benefit.
What is Soho Friends?
Soho Friends is a travel and lifestyle program from Soho House, which costs $130 USD per year. Clara Black cardholders receive this membership free of charge for 1 year. Members can only access Soho Houses when staying in a room.
For example, Soho House Mexico City has limited capacity because it only has 4 rooms, and they are generally booked by Soho House members, so **the facility cannot be accessed through this benefit**.
Who can book a room at Soho House
Each Soho House has its own policy, but generally, some are exclusive to Soho House members, others are open to both Soho House members and Soho Friends, and some are also open to the public.
What Soho Friends offers you in practical terms?
- The right of booking an accommodation at Soho Houses with 15% off and upgrade if available
- The right of being invited to private events at Soho Houses.

Is there any limit of nights a cardholder can book?
No, if there is availability, you can book as many nights as you want.
Do Clara customers have access to Soho House networking events? Is there an extra cost?
Cardholders will receive invitations to select Soho Friends events. When staying at a house, they will also have access to the premises during their stay, allowing networking opportunities.
As a Soho Friends member, can I visit the Houses?
According to the official website no, you cannot access the Houses unless you are staying in a room or attending as a guest of a House member.
Does every Soho House accept Soho Friends?
No, only Soho Houses with bedrooms for Soho Friends members accept this benefit. Currently, 35 out of 41 houses, spread across 20 cities, have Soho Friends bedrooms.
Where do we have Soho Houses?

Does the membership apply to all Soho Houses in the world or only to Mexico?
The program applies to all eligible Soho Houses worldwide.
Is access to Soho House only for the cardholder or can other cardholders access? Is there an extra cost?
Access is granted only to the Clara Black primary cardholder. No additional cardholders are included in this benefit.
What is the difference between Soho House and Soho Friends memberships?
Soho Friends, valued at $130 USD per year, allows Clara Cardholders to book stays at Soho Houses around the world at preferential rates, enjoy late check-outs and receive room upgrades (subject to availability).
Program participants also receive invitations to special events and access additional benefits at spas and restaurants. It is important to note that Soho Friends members can only access Soho Houses when staying in a room. Soho House offers several levels of membership, but this benefit applies specifically to the basic Soho Friends membership.

How can Clara customers claim for the benefit?
- Click on the link and enter your name, email address and create a password.
- Fill in your date of birth and select either the United States or Mexico as your location.
- Enter your eligible consumer or small business Mastercard details and click “Save” to update the total due to $0.
- Click “Join Soho Friends” and wait for an email confirming your free Soho Friends account.
Starting when?
The agreement so far has a term of 18 months from July 5, 2024.
Can I transfer this benefit to someone else?
No, this benefit is only applicable to the named cardholder on the eligible Mastercard credit card.
Can Clara customers purchase a Soho House membership once the promotion ends? Is there a special price?
This promotion only applies to Soho Friends, not the full Soho House membership. Once the complimentary year is over, cardholders can renew Soho Friends for another year using their Clara card by October 31, 2025. There is no special price for the full Soho House membership.
What happens at the end of the 12-month complimentary period?
The membership will not renew automatically. One month before renewal, Soho House will notify the cardholder if they are eligible for another free year. If so, they will need to update their card details to confirm. If not eligible, the cardholder will receive an email offering the option to renew at the regular Soho Friends rate.
If I already have a Soho Friends membership, can I get one year free with Clara Black?
No, this is only for new members, you can’t get a free year after your membership ends.

How can I know if my Mastercard is enrolled in the Soho Friends benefit?
You need to enter your eligible consumer or small business Mastercard details and press “Save” to update the total amount due to $0.
