Dynamic CVV

Your Clara Virtual cards are now more secure. To make transactions with Clara Virtual cards, use the dynamic CVV that will appear in your card details both on the web platform and in the Clara app. The dynamic CVV will last for 5 minutes before changing to a new digit and can be used in up to 3 transactions in that period of time.  

• Transactions with direct debit payments to your Clara Virtual cards will not be affected by this change.

How does it work?

• From your web platform or app, go to the Cards section, find the Clara Virtual card you want to use and click on the Actions section or the three dots...
• Now you can see your card and by clicking on “See details” where you can consult the dynamic CVV
• This dynamic security code is valid for 5 minutes and you can make up to 3 purchases in that period of time
• If you exceed this time or the number of movements in this period of time, you must consult the new code.

What is dynamic CVV? 

Dynamic CVV is a security feature on Clara business credit cards that changes automatically at regular 5-minute intervals and can be used up to 3 times in that time frame.

Why is dynamic CVV important?

 Dynamic CVV adds an extra layer of security to our business credit cards, making it harder for scammers and hackers to steal credit card information when making purchases and payments online.

How often does dynamic CVV change? 

The dynamic CVV update frequency is 5 minutes or every time the user updates the details section. 

How do I activate dynamic CVV on my Clara business credit card?

 The functionality is now active as of March 6, 2023 for all Clara Virtual cards.

What happens with direct debit payments with Clara Virtual cards? 

The payments that you currently have direct debit will not be affected by this new functionality, they will continue to be made normally. And if you make a new direct debit payment, the dynamic CVV will only be requested the first time.

Will there be any additional charges for using dynamic CVV? 

No, there are no additional charges for using dynamic CVV on Clara business credit cards.

Is dynamic CVV available for physical credit cards? 

Very soon we will be able to tell you about this new update.
